Gift finder

Find the right bourbon gift in about a minute.

A bourbon gift they’ll actually use. Tell us about the person, and we’ll pick three bottles in your budget.

Question 1

Loading the finder…

Matched to published tasting notes. No brand pays to be on the list.

When you can’t taste it for them

Three things that help.

  • Read their shelf.

What they already pour is the best map you have. A favorite tells you more than a rating does.

  • Skip the hunt.

The rare bottle isn’t the best gift. The best one is the pour that speaks to them, and it’s often an easy find.

  • Match the person, not the price.

A newer drinker wants something easy to like. Someone who knows their way around may want a bottle to set beside their favorite.

Our picks are suggestions, made by matching your answers to published tasting notes. No brand chooses them or pays to be included, and showing a brand doesn’t mean it’s affiliated with us. Prices are listed retail and change often, and what’s on the shelf varies by store and by state. Taste is personal, so we can’t promise anyone will like a bottle. For adults 21 and over in the US. Please drink responsibly.

Questions

Before you pick.

How does the finder pick bottles?

You answer a few questions about the person: how into bourbon they are, what they pour now, what else they like. We match those answers to published tasting notes for real bottles, using the same matching as The Perfect Pour app. No brand chooses the picks, reviews them or pays to be on the list.

What if they’re new to bourbon?

That’s a common reason to ask. How into bourbon they are is the first thing the finder asks, and it changes what comes back.

What if I don’t know what they drink?

Look at what’s already on their shelf or bar cart, or ask someone who drinks with them. One brand name is enough to start.

Can I give a tasting instead of a bottle?

Yes. A Drunken Unicorn tasting is a private two-hour night for 6 to 20 guests, $79 per guest with a $500 minimum, and we come to you in Ohio, Indiana and Northern Kentucky. Book it for the person and their friends, or for a group you’re treating.

Do you sell the bottles?

No. The finder names bottles, and you buy them at a store near you. What’s on the shelf, and what can be sold, varies by store and by state.

Or give them the night.

A private tasting for the person and their friends, or for a group you want to treat.
