Where we are.
Both of us are at the Culinary Center of Kansas City for Bruce Campbell’s mixology class. Shaking, stirring, and rebuilding three classics we thought we already knew how to make. The hands-on format is the difference between watching a cocktail get made and actually understanding why it works.

What is the Cocktail 101 Mixology Class?
Cocktail 101 is the hands-on mixology class run at the Culinary Center of Kansas City in Overland Park, taught by Chef Bruce Campbell — a thirty-plus-year hospitality veteran and a founding member of the Rib Stars BBQ competition team. The Culinary Center was founded around 1998 by Laura Laiben and now runs more than six hundred classes annually across cocktail, BBQ, and culinary tracks.
